Designed for traditional Avon style fishing in mind where chub and barbel are being targeted this twin tip Duo-Lite Avon is supplied with a 1 lb solid tip and a ¾ lb quiver tip which accepts four interchangeable quivers. These interchangeable tips allow you to match the test curve to achieve maximum bite detection depending upon the swim you are fishing and the mood of the fish. Often small river chubbing can vary to rod wrenching takes through to the tiniest tremor on a delicate tip. The beauty of the Duo-Lite Avon is that it comprehensively copes with a wide variety of methods. In fact everything from free lining floating breadcrust through to rolling meat, trotting maggots and even static feeder and leger fishing. Although this is not a specialist barbel rod it will easily handle medium sized fish in snaggy swims and with care even extracts much larger doubles from clearer swims. We all know how tricky big winter roach can be and using the lightest glass quiver you will be able to detect the slightest of bites from huge winter red fins.
